Planning a catered BBQ

Everything to sort before the grill arrives: how the food is served, what happens if it rains, timings and what to expect from the menus.

Choose how it's served

There are two ways to do a catered BBQ, and they feel quite different:

  • Chef-served station. Guests come up to the grill and food goes straight onto their plate. It's lively and great for garden parties and team days.
  • Sharing feast. We bring platters of grilled meats, seasonal salads and sauces to each table. It's more relaxed and suits weddings and sit-down celebrations.

Pick a menu

Our BBQ menus come in three levels:

  • Primero (£25.00 per person plus VAT): smashed steak burgers, premium sausages, Korean gochujang chicken skewers and tikka paneer skewers, with salads.
  • Segundo (£32.50 per person plus VAT): butterfly chicken, chargrilled rump steak, glazed pork belly and king prawn skewers.
  • Tercero (£42.50 per person plus VAT): lemon and oregano chicken, 28-day dry-aged rib-eye and salmon with ginger and lemongrass.

Every menu has proper vegetarian and vegan choices, not just a veggie burger. BBQs are for 50 guests or more. Wedding BBQs start at 80 adults.

Plan for the weather

This is the North West, so plan for rain even in July. We'll check where we can cook and what cover can be arranged. A gazebo or weather shelter can be added to your booking. Tell us early if the venue has a covered area. It's the easiest fix.

Timings

Allow time for us to set up the grill before guests arrive, usually an hour or more. Food is best served within a set window, so tell us roughly when you want to eat and we'll plan backwards from there.

Children

Children often want a simple plate. A children's BBQ menu with a burger and sausage can be added.

Want something different from the grill? Paella cooked live works for the same kind of outdoor party.
